The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta
What is the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta?
In 1933 as the Marietta Junior Welfare League, our organization became the Junior League
of Cobb-Marietta in 1976.  Today, the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is an organization of
almost 400 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women,
and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta has founded and supported many community projects.
Some of our past projects include Creswell School, the Cobb County Youth Museum, The
Center for Children and Young Adults, Gate City Nursery, and Sheltering Arms Daycare.
Most recently we donated $50,000 to The Center for Family Resources’
new nonprofit center.

With over  8-10 community placements each year, the volunteer financial impact of the
Junior League of Cobb Marietta is over $ 200,000.00 annually, (10,080 hours x $ 20.25/hr =
$ 204,120 + the mission-based funding directly to projects) We will train almost 50 new
provisional members and will continue the volunteer education of our active members.

In order to accomplish our mission the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta operates several
profitable fundraisers to support the many projects in which our volunteers serve. The
success of Mistletoe Market, Follies, and our cookbooks provides the funds for all the
wonderful projects the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta supports.

Our well-trained members often move into leadership positions in the community.  I invite you
to become a part of this dynamic group of women as we continue our legacy of commitment
and service to our community.
